Amazing varied route with fantastic views. Do your homework, this is hilly! Slight difficulty finding route through the holiday park, few more arrows please.

Tough half marathon course. Great strength run.
I was scheduled for a 20k training session for a triathlon event in 4 wks. So not really fancying 20k solo run thought I'd do the Maer half. I new it was hilly but boy that was a tough half marathon. Probably the toughest I've ever done, Seeing as I've been Triathlon/running for 30yrs. Having said that probably the most varied terrain & scenic half ever. If you want to punish (sorry test) your self this is the race.

Low key , no pressure just a fantastic event the 10k especially is beginner friendly with lots of cheery support along the seafront

really friendly event
Course markings were excellent. Marshals were really encouraging and gave clear instruction when needed. Course is quite hilly so challenging for some beginners. At the same time it felt relaxed and you can go at your own pace so do-able even for beginners.

Too many residential paths for my liking.
More distance along the sea front would be nice, including the beach instead of some pavement running.

Excellent organization, tougher route than expected with some brutal hill sections! Not one for a first timer IMO, but brilliant for more experienced runners. Views were incredible but the caravans spoiled it a bit.
Kudos in particular to the marshal in the pink cowboy hat! All were really lovely, but she went the extra mile with the energy and really lifted my spirits :-)

Really enjoyable event, a good and challenging route
Through the caravan park, it could be helpful to have a few more signs. The rest of route was really well marked out.
