The Brave - 5km & 10km Cliff & Beach Run

The Brave returns to Exmouth - the gateway to the World Heritage Jurassic Coast - for an unforgettable coastal running challenge. Taking place on Sunday 21 March 2027, this exciting 5km & 10km event combines stunning scenery, mixed terrain, and an incredible atmosphere, making it one of the most unique races in the area.

Starting and finishing at the vibrant Sideshore, which also serves as Race HQ, runners will experience Exmouth’s iconic seafront, cliff paths, sandy beach, marina, and coastal trails in a course designed to challenge and inspire.

5km

A shorter but exciting coastal challenge featuring beach sections, seafront running, and stunning views.

10km

A tougher and more demanding route with additional cliff and coastal sections for those wanting to push themselves further.

Both races are mixed terrain and suitable for runners of all abilities - whether you're chasing a personal best or simply soaking up the atmosphere.

Participants can choose between:

• A bespoke wooden finisher medal
• A reduced-price ‘No Medal’ entry option

• 08:30–09:30 – Optional litter pick with Plastic Free Exmouth
• 09:00 – Race number collection opens
• 09:00 – Baggage drop opens
• 10:15 – Registration closes
• 10:25 – Pre-race briefing
• 10:30 – Race start

Awards

Trophies will be awarded to male and female runners in the following categories:

• Overall 1st, 2nd & 3rd
• Age category prizes (where applicable)
